The Program Template
Times for speakers are not yet scheduled, but the general program
of the conference will consist each day of an opening coffee/refreshment
at 9:15, followed by two 50-minute lectures between 10:00 and 12:00, a two-hour
lunch break, and two 50-minute lectures from 2:00 until 4:00. After
an afternoon coffee/refreshment, there will be 20 minute talks in
two parallel sessions in adjacent rooms until 5:30 or 6:00.
Graduate Students Welcome
We strongly encourage you to submit names of graduate students
that you think would benefit from attending the conference. Please include
their e-mail address and current level of dissertation work. We will support
recommended students for food and lodging (as much as meals per diem and
sharing a room at the Blackwell). Support is also avaiable for new Ph.D.'s.
Lodging for Participants
The host hotel for the conference has been changed to "The Blackwell"
on the OSU campus.
Our early e-mails
provided information about a host hotel for the conference (University Plaza Hotel
and Conference Center ).
However, we have a new host, The Blackwell Inn. It is also a hotel affiliated
with the university, but unlike the previous, it is located on campus.
The Blackwell is a luxurious new hotel within the new complex of buildings
at the Fisher School of Business. It is on the north edge of campus only
three blocks from the Math Tower and the adjacent EA Building where the
conference will be held.
From its web site http://www.theblackwell.com
you can read that
“The Blackwell Inn is an an upscale hotel …, featuring the very best
in guest service and comfort, and the highest levels of technology and
resources.”
The University Plaza Hotal and Conference Center is no longer the conference
host hotel.
