Information for Presenters

Student Talks:

|
Time: Time
alloted for each talks is 20 min (with an extra 5min for questions).

Each
lecture room has a dry erase board,
and at least one overhead projector
for
transparencies.
|

Projectors & Built-in
Computers: All lecture rooms are equipped with a standard video
data
projection system
and built in computers suitable for computer presentations.

Media: All built in
computers have CD drives, external Floppy and Zip drives, as well as
USB ports for Flash Drives.
|
 |
Installed OSs and Software: Some of
the rooms'
built in computers are PCs
running Windows XP (EA 285, 295) , and
the computers in the other rooms are MACs
(EA 265, 275).
The computers in each room have installed on them the most
standard applications. You can check the currently installed software
at the OSU Software Search page.

software).
If you wish to
use the built in computers and have a preference regarding the OS or
want to use a software applications that do not seem to be part of the
basic
installations please let us know so we can try to make respective
arrangements.

Laptops: If you plan to give a
computer presentation you are strongly encouraged to bring your own
laptop on which you have tested your presentation. VGA cables will be
provided.
We will have available back-up laptops and data projectors
for the talks, run Windows XP (especially in the computer rooms with
MACs). Our laptops have Floppy and CD
Drives and carry standard applications such as PowerPoint,
Acrobat, etc.

In
case you are uncertain about the compatibility of your software or
equipment with that in the lecture room it is highly recommended that
you test your presentations in the breaks between the talks.

Please discuss any special,
technical needs with one of the conference organizers.
|

It is also highly
recommended that you have a black board
or transparency version
of your talk as back-up. |
