These instructions assume that you already have a personal home page (look here [0] if not), and that you have some familiarity with HTML.

1. Telnet into "math" (or log into your personal Sun workstation).
2. Create a "preprints" subdirectory within your "WWW" directory and allow it to be accessible using the unix shell commands
   • cd WWW
   • mkdir preprints
   • chmod a+x preprints
3. Create an HTML text file called "index.html" listing your preprints with appropriate links to the appropriate files.
4. Transfer this file together with your preprint files into your "WWW/preprints" directory. Make sure that all these files are accessible using the unix shell command
   • chmod a+r *
   from within this directory.
5. Update your personal information, indicating that you have online preprints, at the following page [1]. (You will be prompted for your password.)

Finally, check the list of personal online preprints [1] whether you were successful.
