Undergraduate and Non-Math Graduate Teaching Associateships

The Department of Mathematics hires qualified undergraduate students of any major and graduate students from other departments to assist us in our teaching efforts. Teaching Associate (TA) hiring takes place only once per year, with the application process in Winter Quarter and the screening, training, and hiring in Spring Quarter. Hired TAs begin teaching in Autumn Quarter.

You are encouraged to apply for a teaching associateship in Math if you posses the following qualities and meet the following requirements.

Completed applications must be received by the last day of Winter Quarter classes. Decisions about support for the next academic year will be made during Spring Quarter. TAs who are hired will begin teaching Autumn Quarter.

It is not necessary to be a math major to be eligible for a TA position. Candidates must be available throughout Spring Quarter for interviewing and training on campus.
