CL 0171, 4:30-5:30

The study of partitions can be fascinating, as often simple-sounding questions lead to deep theories. Given a positive integer n, a partition of n is simply a way to write n as a sum of smaller positive ingegers. Starting with this definition, this talk will explore some of the interesting developments in Partition Theory, including the use of modular forms. We will also discuss some intriguing unsolved problems.
