Welcome to Shaun Van Ault's Homepage

I am currently a graduate student at The Ohio State University, studying mathematics. I spent five enlightening years at Oberlin College and graduated with a B.A (majoring in math, minoring in computer science) and a B.Mus. (majoring in music composition). My current areas of interest include (computational) algebraic topology, computational algebra, and knot theory. Specifically, I am working with Zbigniew Fiedorowicz, studying Symmetric Homology.

As for fun, I love to play music, write music, play computer games, watch movies, etc. I currently live in Columbus with my wife, Megan, and our son, Joshua Leighton Ault.
