Thursday, August 19: Continued to work on yesterdays Midterm Review.
Wednesday, August 18: Handed out some review problems for the Midterm Friday.
Tuesday, August 17: I handed back the Chapter 9 homework and we began chapter 15 with some group work. Remember there is a test this friday.
Monday, August 16: We went over the group work from friday, and I handed out solutions for it. We also went over the chapter 10 homework.
Friday, August 13: We did group work on chapter 10.
Thursday, August 12: We finished the new material on chapter 10. I decided to make your homework due next Monday instead of tomorrow. Tomorrow we will be doing group work on chapter 10.
Wednesday, August 11: Continued the group/class work we began yesterday. Did evaluations.
Tuesday, August 10: Continued Chapter 10. Handed out this. The Chapter 10 homework will be due Friday.
Monday, August 9: Today we went over the chapter 9 homework and started Chapter 10. Remember: Evaluations are Wednesday, and I'd like as many of you as possible to be there.
Today's office hours are cancelled! I will make the hour up by having an office hour tomorrow from 1:30 - 2:30.
Friday, August 6: Today, we did
group work on gnomons, the new topic we discussed yesterday as well as golden rectangles. Remember the chapter 9 homework is due Monday.
Thursday, August 5: We talked about the last big section in the chapter, gnomons. Also, we worked on that group work I handed out yesterday. I (finally!) handed back your chapter 7 homework. Also, I gave out this, a guide to making your own notes packet. You really can start to learn the material quite well just in the process of making a notes packet.
Wednesday, August 4: We talked about yesterday's group work and other topics in 9.2 and 9.2. I handed out this group work, which is some problems from the chapter similar to your homework. Your homework will be due next Monday. Lastly, I'll hand back the chapter 7 homework tomorrow.
Tuesday, August 3: We talked about yesterday's group work and other topics in 9.1 and 9.2. We worked on this group work, which is some problems from the chapter similar to your homework. Your homework will be due Monday.
Monday, August 2: Handed back the tests. The average was 79, and I'm pretty happy with that. We started to talk about Chapter 9. We did this group work. It was pretty hard, and we'll go over it tomorrow.

Thursday, July 29: Did a final review. Test tomorrow!
Wednesday, July 28: Completed yesterday's group work, and went over the chapter 7 homework which is due tomorrow. Remember we have a test friday on the last 3 chapters.
Tuesday, July 27: Did group work on Chapter 7 material as well as the older Chapters 5 and 6 material. Handed back the Chapter 6 homework.
Monday, July 26: Did group work on Chapter 7. We have now finished all of the new material for Friday's test.
Friday, July 23:Went over the Chapter 6 homework and began the Chapter 7 material. Reminder: Midterm II is in one week.
Thursday, July 22:Finished up on Chapter 6. Homework is due tomorrow.
Wednesday, July 21: Handed back Chapter 5 homework and continued with chapter 6 .
Tuesday, July 20: Today we went over the Chapter 5 Homework, as well as continuing to work on chapter 6. (Chapter 6 Notes). The Chapter 6 homework is due Friday.
Monday, July 19: We began a new chapter today, Chapter 6. Mostly we did group work today. I'd prefer if you turned in your homework from Chapter 5 Tuesday, but will not take off points if you turn it in Wednesday, as I gave that as the due date last week.
Friday, July 16: Today we had a quiz on chapter 5. I said that the homework would be due today, but you have the option of turning in your homework next tuesday.
Thursday, July 15: Today we did group work on graph theory. There will be a quiz tomorrow.
Wednesday, July 14: Continued to work on graph theory (chapter 5). I did many examples that should help you on the homework.
Tuesday, July 13: Continued to work on Graph Theory (Chapter 5). The chapter five homework in the syllabus will be due this Friday (July 16). I passed out a notes packet to help you work on Chapter 5. By the way, you'll be getting your Chapter 4 homework back tomorrow (sorry for the delay).
Monday, July 12: Went over your tests. You did very well, averaging about a 90%! The next test will have to be harder (and without extra credit). We went over some terms in chapter 5, Graph Theory, which we will continue tomorrow.
Friday, July 9: Test Day!!
Thursday, July 8: Did not collect the Chapter 4 homework so you could use it to study for the exam. I will want you to turn it in before the test tomorrow. We went over the Chapter 4 homework and finished review for the test. The test is tomorrow in class and will cover Set Theory, Chapter 1 (Voting), and Chapter 4 (Apportionment).
Wednesday, July 7: Handed back your chapter 1 homework, and we discussed it as well as more review for this Friday's test. Chapter 4 homework is due tomorrow!
Tuesday, July 6: Handed out Exam I Review Sheet and we did some group review on Set Theory for the exam Friday.
Monday, July 5: No Class!
Friday, July 2: Finished up the new material before the TEST next Friday. Chapter 1 Homework was collected. Chapter 4 Homework will be collected Thursday, July 7.
Thursday, July 1: Continued Apportionment Theory. (All four methods, the quota rule, and the paradoxes.)
Wednesday, June 30: Began Chapter 4. Handed out Chapter 4 Packet.
Tuesday, June 29: Handed back the homework from Set Theory, but not the quiz. Finished up Chapter 1 and will start Chapter 4 tomorrow. The homework from chapter 1 (found on your syllabus) will be due this Friday, July 2. Lastly, remember that next Friday (July 9) we have a Test over Set Theory, Chapter 1, and Chapter 4.
Monday, June 28: We had an in-class portion of the Map Quiz. Also, we went over the last of the new Voting Theory material, with many examples.
Friday, June 25: Assigned your takehome quiz. Just fill out the Venn Diagram and we'll talk about it Monday. Also passed out a packet to help you take notes on Voting Theory. (Thanks to Mike for the packet). Lastly, collected the first homework on Set Theory.
Thursday, June 24:Began work on Voting Theory (Chapter 1). Tentatively, the Chapter 1 homework (on the green sheet) will be due next friday (June 30th).
Wednesday, June 23:We did group work on Set Theory. We went over some of the group work today and will finish it tomorrow.
