CORINA CALINESCU

I am a Zassenhaus Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Ohio State University. I received my PhD in Mathematics from Rutgers University, where my advisor was James Lepowsky.

Research

My research focuses on vertex operator algebras and infinite-dimensional Lie algebras. I am also interested in connections between vertex operator algebra theory and other fields, such as quantum groups, tensor categories and conformal field theory. In the not too distant past I did research on Hopf algebras and quantum groups.
