Zassenhaus Assistant Professor 630 Mathematics Tower 231 18th Avenue Ohio State University Columbus, OH 43210 (614) 688-8733 (Office) czorn@math.ohio-state.edu |
At present, I am one of the Zassenhaus Assistant Professors at the Ohio State University's Mathematics Department. In May 2007, I graduated from the University of Maryland's Mathematics Department. I wrote my dissertation in the area of representation theory for p-adic symplectic groups and metaplectic under the guidance Prof. Stephen Kudla. I came to Maryland by way of the University of California, Santa Cruz where I received my B.A. in mathematics (June, 2002). Before attending UCSC, I also spent two years at Laney Junior College (Oakland, CA). For those of you that might have known me in a previous lifetime (e.g. high school), I attended high school at Chatfield Senior High in Jefferson County, CO.
My areas of interest in mathematics include the representation theory p-adic groups (and their covering groups) as well as automorphic forms. I present I am studying the non-vanishing of local theta lifts for Sp(4,F) and Mp(4,F) to various orthogonal groups using the local doubling integral. In the realm of automorphic forms, I am interested in integral representations of various L-functions for various split groups.
Also, I got married on June 23, 2007 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Reston, VA. The bride's name is Colleen Courtney. She is originally from New Castle, Delaware and works as a consultant for a firm based in Northern Virginia. She is also finishing her M.B.A. this spring from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
