The aim of this one week Summer school is to familiarize graduate students with several groups and classes of groups that often appear in geometric group theory.

Participants will arrive Friday May 30th, and check-in at that the Holiday Inn (rooms are booked by the organizers for each funded participant and speaker) near the math department, where classes will be held starting Saturday May 31st, room MA 240 in the (old) Math Building. There will be a welcome dinner Friday May 30th from 6 - 9pm in the 7th floor lounge of the Math Tower.
The school will terminate Friday June 6th at noon and we cannot offer accomodation to the participants for Friday night the 6th.
