OFFICE HOURS:

PURPOSE OF THE COURSE : To provide students with a solid foundation in Calculus (derivative of a function, computation and applications of derivatives,indefinite and definite integrals, techniques of integration, applications of the integral).Problem solving will be stressed throught the course in order to promote deeper understanding of abstract mathematics and its applications.

CALCULATORS : A graphing calculator is a required component in this course. However, the students are not allowed to use calculators higher than TI-86 during the quizzes and exams.

COURSE GRADES : Will be based on the total of 500 points possible

HOMEWORK : Students are expected to attend lectures and recitation classes, check the  PRACTICE HOMEWORK AND ANNOUNCEMENTS page daily, work on problems assigned for each section and be prepared to discuss them in recitation class. These problems are not to be graded. Homeworks (to be graded) will be assigned later.
